HH's Founder Manuel Mirzoian with Marina Kastelan - Neuro Oncology Cancer Care Coordinator at RNH Hospital.
August 21, 2017 - Helen's Hope Fulfilling a Mission!Helen's Hope received a request for financial medical help from Neuro Oncology Cancer Care Coordinator Marina Kastelan at RNSHospital regarding a young patient (Mr T) in his early 40's with a Frontal Glioma (Brain Tumour).Since his diagnosis in February 2017 the patient has undergone surgery, radiation and has commenced oral chemotherapy.
Due to the cognitive changes, specifically, working memory due to the Brain tumour, treatments and past medical history which are all impacting the patients' ability to secure gainful employment. The Patients disability pension can't self-fund the cost of his six weekly interval chemotherapy treatments, with the exceeding costs to be over $500.00 from out of pocket. On Monday 21st Aug 2017 Helen's Hope founder, Manuel Mirzoian delivered the funds needed to the pharmacy so the treatments can be fully provided to the patient.Helen would be proud, just as we all are knowing that she is still making a difference in someone's life. This is what it's all about.
It took HH 3 years of hard work and dedication to be able to start fulfilling it's mission. Without your generous support and involvement, we wouldn't have been able to make a difference in this person's life today. We will continue to do more.
